Inspiring creative Jewish life

Tanya Singer is equal parts knitter, writer, and media marketer. She works at Tablet Magazine, where she hosts the Beautifully Jewish podcast and community.

Her go-to craft is knitting. While she learned to knit in college, her daily knitting habit was formed when her son underwent (successful) brain surgery in 2017. Her passion for the craft led her to research the ways knitters used their skills as a means of resistance and renewal during and after WWII, inspiring her work as a contributor to Tablet Magazine, Vogue Knitting Magazine, Modern Daily Knitting, Kveller and The Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

She loves developing creative ways to bring Jews together!
